KraussMaffei has now developed a new system to change the position of the nozzle pins rapidly and precisely. This new system allows you to expand the operating range of your mixing head. PU mixing heads can be used with great flexibility if the amount of output material can be changed from one shot to the next. To deliver this operating flexibility while maintaining very high mixing quality, the nozzle openings through which the components enter the mixing chamber need to be adjusted as the output changes.
This is enabled by the electric nozzle needle adjustment. The patented system offers excellent, consistent quality and unsurpassed production reliability, combining minimum structural dimensions with maximum precision and performance. It can be integrated into most mixing heads as a retrofit. This system enables you to adjust component pressure from shot to shot quickly and accurately, thus ensuring consistent optimum mixing quality over the entire output area of a machine. This makes it possible, for example, to run the machine at constant pressure, even under changing production conditions.
